The Quad City Mallards teamed with Genesis Health System and KWQC-TV6 to raise $15,750 for Genesis Family Connects through a game-worn jersey auction after the Mallards’ game tonight against the Missouri Mavericks at the iWireless Center.

The special edition baseball-style jerseys worn by the Mallards tonight in a 3-2 win over the Mavericks went up for bid in a live auction following that contest. The jerseys of perennially popular mascot Mo Mallard ($1,200) and goaltender Adam Vay ($950) drew the evening’s highest bids.

Tonight’s auction is the second of two for which the Mallards partnered with Genesis this season. That pair of auctions combined to raise more than $33,000. Over the last two decades, Mallards jersey auctions have raised well over $800,000 to benefit Genesis Health System charities.

The Mallards meet the Mavericks again tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. on home ice. Single game tickets for all Mallards regular season home games- including tomorrow night's game- are on sale now at the iWireless Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000. The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
