GILMOUR REASSIGNED TO MALLARDS

Forward Adam Gilmour has been reassigned to the Quad City Mallards by the American Hockey League’s Iowa Wild, the Mallards announced today.

Gilmour, a 23-year old rookie, has scored four goals and added six assists for ten points in 49 games with Iowa this season. The 6-foot-3, 193-pound Hanover, Massachusetts, native, played two games for the Wild last season immediately after completing his junior campaign at Boston College.

Gilmour, who was chosen by the Minnesota Wild in the fourth round of the 2012 National Hockey League Entry Draft with the ninety-eighth overall pick, scored 12 goals and picked up 14 assists to total 26 points in 41 games for BC last season. Gilmour scored 28 times, collected 45 assists and totaled 73 points while playing in each of the Eagles’ 119 games over his three collegiate seasons. Gilmour helped BC to three straight NCAA tournament appearances and both the Hockey East regular season title and a Frozen Four berth in 2014 and again last season.

Gilmour skated for the United States Hockey League’s Muskegon Lumberjacks for one season- 2012-13- before heading to BC. Gilmour scored 19 goals in 64 games and led the Lumberjacks in points (47) and assists (28).

The Mallards return to action on the road tomorrow night against the Fort Wayne Komets. The Mallards next play at home Friday night at 7:05 p.m. against the Kalamazoo Wings. The first 1,000 fans through the doors for that game will receive free Mallards drink koozies courtesy of Local 4 News. Friday is also another $2 Dog/$2 Beer Night presented by 97X. Fans can enjoy $2 hot dogs and beers from iWireless Center concession stands during every Friday Mallards home game. In addition, the Mallards have once again this season partnered with Metro to provide transit service between Augustana College and downtown Moline during all Friday home games. As part of Metro’s unlimited ride program, Augustana riders can use their Augustana ID as their fare.

The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
