By: Mallards Communications Staff
The Quad City Mallards have acquired forward Connor Reilly along with future considerations from the Allen Americans in exchange for future considerations, the Mallards announced today.

Reilly, a 26-year old rookie, has scored two goals and added eight assists for ten points in 31 games with Allen this season. The 6-foot, 180-pound Clanhassen, Minnesota, native also picked up two assists in four games earlier this season with the Southern Professional Hockey League’s Birmingham Bulls.

Reilly turned professional this season after four years at the University of Minnesota. Reilly totaled eight points (one goal and seven assists) in 31 games as a Golden Gopher senior last season. He produced 24 goals, 32 assists and 56 points in 129 career collegiate games.

Reilly served as a Gopher alternate captain in both his junior and senior seasons. He earned Academic All-Big Ten honors each of his four years at Minnesota.

Reilly helped the Gophers to three NCAA tournament bids- including a berth in the 2014 national championship game- four straight Big Ten regular season titles and the 2015 Big Ten tournament crown.

The Mallards return to action on the road tonight against the Cincinnati Cyclones. The Mallards next play at home tomorrow at 4:05 p.m. against the Fort Wayne Komets.
