The Quad City Mallards have released forwards Joey Holka, Jung Ahn, and Jimmy Kim along with defenseman Caylen Walls and goaltender Michael Shibrowski, the Mallards announced today.

 

With the departure of that quintet the Mallards reduced their roster to 20 players in preparation for their October 24 season opener against the Rapid City Rush.  Mallards training camp continues tomorrow morning from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the River’s Edge in Davenport.

 

The Mallards will play next Friday’s opener on home ice at 7:05 p.m.  Next Friday is also the season’s first $1 Dog/$1 Beer Night presented by 97X and MetroLINK.  Fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $1 beers from iWireless Center concessions during the Mallards’ match-up with the Rush.

 

Single game tickets for each of the Mallards 36 regular season home games- including the opener- are on sale now at the iWireless Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000.  The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and game days from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the second period.  Tickets are available for $10, $16, $20 and $28.
