MALLARDS BUSY IN COMMUNITY

By: Mallards Communications Staff

The Mallards kick off a busy weekend in the community when mascot Mo Mallard helps the Illowa Council of the Boy Scouts of America kick off its annual popcorn sale Thursday evening, September 17.

Popcorn sales help cover the costs of gear and also provides funds for camp and other adventures for scouts.  Selling popcorn also helps scouts develop a sense of pride and accomplishment as they work to achieve a goal.

Friday afternoon, the Mallards' Ice Girls will represent the team in the Rock Island High School homecoming parade which will run from Hauberg Park to the high school.

Mo will be back in action at the Quad Cities Walk to End Alzheimer's Saturday morning at the iWireless Center at 8:00 a.m.  All funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimer's further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
