King was acquired from the Orlando Solar Bears in exchange for future considerations in September, 2017. He signed with Orlando a month prior after scoring 15 goals and picking up 22 assists for 37 points in 55 games while splitting time among the Allen Americans, Indy Fuel and Greenville Swamp Rabbits in 2016-17.
King has scored 92 goals, notched 137 assists and totaled 229 points while playing 331 career games for nine teams over seven seasons. While he has spent the bulk of his career in the ECHL, King did play 11 American Hockey League games- during which he scored twice and had two assists- for the Texas Stars as a rookie in 2010-11. In addition to the Americans, Fuel and Swamp Rabbits, King has also suited up for the Ontario Reign, Evansville Icemen, Fort Wayne Komets, San Francisco Bulls and Idaho Steelheads in the ECHL.
King helped Allen to the 2015-16 Kelly Cup title by producing 14 goals, 19 assists and 33 points in 53 regular season games and adding seven goals and three assists for ten points while playing 20 playoff games.
In 2012-13, King set career highs in goals (22) and points (45) while playing a total of 52 games divided between Idaho and San Francisco.
King played in the major junior Western Hockey League for four seasons before turning professional. He scored 50 goals and registered 90 assists for 140 points in 250 career WHL games with the Portland Winter Hawks and Medicine Hat Tigers.
