Grant last season saw action for the Rapid City Rush and Wichita Thunder as well as the American Hockey League’s Binghamton Senators last year. He scored six times and added five assists to total 11 points in 43 games with Rapid City after going without a point in four games with Wichita. He played a single game for Binghamton.
Grant has played 11 career National Hockey League games. Grant played eight games- and picked up one assist- for the Philadelphia Flyers in 2006-07 and played three times for the Nashville Predators in 2009-10. He was originally selected by the Flyers in the ninth round of 2004 NHL Entry Draft with the two hundred eighty-sixth overall choice.
Grant has spent the bulk of his career in the AHL. Over his first twelve seasons, he recorded 73 goals, 80 assists and 153 points in 641 AHL games with the Senators, Philadelphia Phantoms, Milwaukee Admirals, Rochester Americans, Oklahoma City Barons, Grand Rapids Griffins. In 2012-13 he helped the Griffins to the AHL’s Calder Cup title.
Grant played five seasons in the major junior Western Hockey League with the Lethbridge Hurricanes and Vancouver Giants before turning professional.
