Zac Wilken joined the Mallards in 2012 after earning his master's degree in exercise and sports science from Concordia University Irvine. He earned his bachelor's degree in physical education at Rockford College, where he also played football, earning all-conference honors at safety.
Before joining the Mallards, Wilken served as an assistant football coach at Dekalb and United Township High Schools as well as at Rockford College. He has taught in the Belvedere and Rock Island County school districts.
