Brian Lavelle

Now in his fifth season with the Flock, Lavelle joined the Mallards after serving as the director of media relations and broadcasting for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders of the United States Hockey League (USHL). Lavelle provided radio play-by-play for the RoughRiders, including calling the team's 2005 USHL Clark Cup title victory.

Lavelle called the 2007 and 2008 USHL All-Star Games and the 2010 CHL All-Star Game.

While with the RoughRiders, Lavelle also acted as the team's liaison with the local media, directed the Riders' community relations efforts and oversaw the club's web site.

Prior to arriving in Cedar Rapids Lavelle spent two years with the Billings Bulls of the America West Hockey League. He served as the Bulls' director of public relations while also acting as the team's radio broadcaster.

Originally from the Boston area, Lavelle is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire.
