Hockey for Helping Hands
The Mallards partner with local police, fire, and sheriff departments through Hockey for Helping Hands. Hockey for Helping Hands is an initiative designed to recognize good samaritans in our community. Policemen, firefighters, and sheriff deputies will carry Mallards ticket vouchers in their vehicles and distribute them at their discretion upon seeing good deeds. The intent of the program is to reward behavior that often goes unnoticed. Throughout the season the Mallards will recognize good samaritans at home games and share their story.
The Quad City Mallards would like to sincerely thank the Quad Cities police, fire and sheriff departments for their collaboration in implementing Hockey for Helping Hands. Those participating include: Davenport Police, Bettendorf Fire, Moline Fire, Rock Island Police, East Moline Fire, East Moline Police and the Scott County Sheriff Department.
