Warning scored 16 goals, added 15 assists and totaled 31 points in 65 games as a rookie last season.

Warning turned professional after four seasons at the University of Minnesota. He scored 40 goals and picked up 57 assists to total 97 points in 146 career collegiate games.
 
Warning completed his college career by scoring 12 goals and notching 12 assists for 24 points in 39 games. Warning earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention after scoring 14 times, collecting 20 assists and producing 34 points in 39 games in 2013-14. He was also named to the 2014 NCAA Frozen Four All-Tournament Team after helping Minnesota to the Frozen Four for the second time in three seasons. Warning and the Gophers claimed conference regular season titles and NCAA tournament bids each of his first three collegiate seasons. Warning was also named to conference all-academic teams each of his final three seasons at Minnesota.

Warning arrived at Minnesota after spending two junior seasons with the United States Hockey League’s Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. Warning recorded 24 goals, 19 assists and 43 points in 56 games as the RoughRiders finished first overall in the USHL in 2010-11.
